Warhammer Darktide Free Beta Launches on Steam

Players can still try to join the closed beta test of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on Steam, which begins today.

Today marked the beginning of the free closed beta of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. If you're not on the list yet, Fatshark is giving you one more chance to join the tests.

After accessing the game's tab on Steam, you'll find the "Request Access" option. You can also try to sign up through the game's official website, in which case you will have to share information about your system (the developers are keen to test Darktide on various hardware configurations).

This doesn't guarantee that you'll qualify for testing, but there's a chance that you'll be able to check out the game later this weekend. The beta will last until Sunday, October 16

The closed beta will enable you to play four cooperative missions as an ogre, psionic, veteran or zealot, with personalized appearance and story. There will be both melee and shooting to test, present to a lesser extent in Fatshark;s previous games from the Warhammer: Vermintide series.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will debut (after two delays) on November 30 on PC, and will hit the Xbox Series X/S console in 2023. The game will also be available at launch on the Game Pass service.
