Wasteland 3 - Patch 1.1.0 Fixes Progression and Co-op

Wasteland 3 received its first post-release update. Patch 1.1.0 (currently available only on Steam and GOG.com) removes bugs related to saving game progress and cooperation mode.

The devs of Wasteland 3 take the fight against bugs seriously.

Judging by the reviews, Wasteland 3's launch was very successful for inXile Entertainment. Unfortunately, the third installment of the post-apocalyptic series turned out to be one of those titles that are pestered by a lot of bugs on launch. Long loading times and unjustified drops in performance are only a part of the issues noted by Internet users. To remedy this, the developers released a small update and patch 1.1.0. The first one was to slightly improve the performance of the game on consoles in anticipation of a larger patch. The patch was released in on Steam and GOG.com on Saturday, but should also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Microsoft's store mid-week.

The list of changes introduced in patch 1.1.0 is not long, but there are many key items on it. The developers claim to have eliminated problems with resetting, losing and blocking game progress, both in single-player and co-op mode. This includes fixing the task with La Perla, which many players couldn't complete despite fulfilling its goals. Also removed were bugs with never-ending loading screen, the not displaying the intro animation for co-op, and a handful of other bugs related to this mode.

These improvements include minor changes to the balance (chicken-cyborg and Polly were upgraded). Console owners will also receive additional changes to improve performance on these platforms. As you can see, not all the problems reported by the players have yet been solved. However, the fact that we didn't have to wait long for the first big patch gives hope that the developers won't delay in squashing the remaining bugs. This is confirmed by an announcement on Steam where the team at inXile ensures that they will continue to work on eliminating bugs and other issues in Wasteland 3 in the coming weeks.
