How do curses work?

You can find curses currently affecting your Sim in the needs tab.

A curse can be cast on Sim during any unsuccessful magic activity - fail at creating a potion, getting defeated during a magical duel, or casting a spell unsuccessfully. There is also a high chance of receiving a curse if your Sim is magically overloaded (in other words, he has cast too many spells in a short time). The curse appears in the needs tab, where you will also see a description of the curse. There are many various effects of curses - it can be a loss of control over casting spells (then spells are cast randomly, even if you choose one particular spell) or an increased chance of losing the duel.

How to remove a curse?

One way is to drink the right potion.

Fortunately, curses can be quickly removed. There are two ways to do this - drink a curse-clearing potion or use the Decursify spell. You can create a potion in the cauldron, and learn spells by using the untamed magic.
