Step 1: Follow the shore to Flotsam

Roche is uncertain of commander Loredo, the ruler of Flotsam, and decides to avoid the port and moor at a shore nearby the city (M8, 1). Jump down from the ship and Triss and Roche will start moving forward - follow them.

Notice! In one of the chest you will find Formula: Witcher's Silver Sword, useful during A Sword for Monsters.

Once you're ready, head after your companions. At some point you will hear a flute and Roche will recognize it. You will come across Iorweth (M8, 2), the famous elven commander.

Step 2: Protect Roche and Triss. Get to Flotsam

After the exchange of courtesies, you will have to choose one of the three dialogue options.

Notice! You have a limited time to make a choice!

However, irrespectively of which option you choose, you will be attacked by elven archers. Triss will create a magic battier which changes arrows into butterflies and will pass out. The barrier will still be active, but the elves will start to attack. Your task is to protect your companions, while moving alongside them to the city. The enemies will mainly focus on you, so you won't have to worry about the others. Try to keep in range of the spell so that the archers on the hill can't reach you.

After reaching the safe spot, you will be greeted by one of the guards. You will learn the location of the local tavern and that an execution is taking place on the square.

By the Gods - Stringing Up Sods and The Assassins of Kings will be unlocked.
