Uncharted 1: Ambushed - Chapter 1 walkthrough

On this page of our guide to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune you will find a detailed walkthrough of Chapter 1 - Ambushed. This stage is entirely taking place aboard the ship and main heroes will be forced to repel the pirate attack. This is an excellent opportunity to practice all main combat mechanics.

The beginning of our adventure actually started on a ship when we were looking for a sunken sarcophagus. Suddenly, we were attacked by pirates. Drake quickly checked his handgun (L1) and fired the weapon to make a test shoot (L2). Pirates' boat immediately sailed towards our ship - the hero rushed to the nearest crate in order to take cover (Circle) and started shooting at enemies. [1] There were explosive barrels on the ship - a single shot at explosive barrel discouraged enemies of further attack. [2]

After defeating all opponents from both boats, the pirates sailed away. [1] However, this was not the end of the trouble - pirates have boarded the front bow of the ship. Drake has managed to kill them while hiding behind the crates. [2]

More opponents jumped over the railings to get aboard the deck of our boat from the front right side. The first one was shot by Nathan with a gun, [1] and the second enemy was surprised and massacred by Nathan's quick combo attack (Square, Triangle, Square). [2]

Another two bad guys have spawned - this time they've came from the right side of the ship's bow. After eliminating them, we were suddenly attacked by a boat equipped with a machine gun. Drake and the girl hid behind the crates and were taking cover while the enemy was sailing around the ship and kept firing. [1] After a few minutes of thrill, Sullivan has appeared and frightened away the pirates. We were saved. [2]
