1. Upgrades cost Renown. Think over each upgrade, and read through their descriptions.

2. Try to use unique ships solutions - it will provide more tactical variety for your fleet.

3. Additional upgrade points are awarded when a ship's captain reaches new level.

4. In the shipyard, you can make repairs - they're not very expensive, until you're ship is heavily damaged or destroyed.

5. You don't have to spend all your points at once - try saving some for later.

When expanding your fleet, you can chose different ships from each class.

6. Some upgrades are only available on the highest levels.

7. Try to hire bigger units as soon as you get a slot. .

8. You can name your ships in the yard - it will make commanding them easier.

9. Distributing crew points comes free, but think twice, since redistributing them is rather expensive.

10. In the shipyard, you can inspect every ship closely - the camera works just like in the game.
