Borderlands 3: How to travel to other planets?

One of the most important new features of Borderlands 3 is that you can visit different planets. On this page of our guide you will learn how to leave Pandora and how to unlock the travel to other planets.

You will start your campaign in Borderlands 3 on the planet Pandora, which you know from previous installments of the series. You can't leave Pandora immediately to begin your journey through the galaxy. You must sufficiently advance in the main story of the game:

1. The main quest Taking Flight concerns the preparations for the departure from Pandora.
2. The Sanctuary main quest begins with the Sanctuary boarding, which is a large spaceship in Borderlands 3.

In the Sanctuary quest, you'll have to visit the most important quarters on board the Sanctuary for the first time and prepare the spacecraft for interplanetary travel. Only after you have done all these things can you go to the Captain's Bridge and interact with the journey planning control panel.

Initially, the only other planet available is Promethea. In order to unlock more fast travel points, you need to focus on completing main quests.
