How to unlock class mods?

The class module slot is initially locked. Modules could be found earlier. You can save the best ones in order to choose one of them when it is possible.

In order to unlock the class modules you must complete the Takeover Hostile main story quest on the planet Promethea. As a reminder, the main objective of this task consists in defeating the main boss Gigamind. After you have dealt with the boss, you must also listen to a briefing with Rhys and Lorelei.

You can now place a class module in the newly unlocked slot.

Which class modules are best to use?

The topic of using class modules can be approached in two main ways. The first option is to unlock completely new skills with the help of class modules - those that were not bought for development points.

Equipping a class module can unlock a passive skill even if it comes from a tree that has not been developed at all. It's a great way if it's a useful skill, but you don't want to invest development points to reach it.

The second option consists in choosing and using class modules, which strengthen the already unlocked skills. It is worth noting here that if, for example, the maximum level of development for a given skill equals 5 points, then wearing a class module allows you to exceed it and achieve a higher level of development like 6/5.
