Call of Duty Cold War: Lockpick - how to open locks?

On this page of the tutorial you will find information on how to open locks with the lockpick in the game Call of Duty Cold War. It's quite simple, but at the beginning you might not know how to unlock a passage for yourself.

At several locations in the game you will have to use the lockpick to open a door lock. The lockpicking system is quite simple, but not intuitive at first. Under the keyhole like in the picture below, you are told how many pawls the lock has - this determines how many perfect positions you have to find with your lockpick. In this case, it's one position. Move the mouse to find the perfect position to lever the mechanism - you will know a good position when the lockpick starts to shake a lot. Then stop moving the lockpick and you will unlock the latch. Do this every time, no matter how many pawls are in the lock.

Opening locks is limited to finding 1 to 3 perfect positions to lever the mechanism.
