Dark Souls 3: How to get to the roof of Cleansing Chapel without purchasing the key?

As soon as you get to the Cleansing Chapel you can walk outside and find a tower in the lower part. It will remain locked until you purchase a key from Shrine Handmaid for 20 000 souls. It is quite expensive, especially at the beginning, but at least you can explore some of the upper part for free.

To make it possible, you will probably need several chances. Reach the tower and look left - you should see the tree visible in the screenshot. To access the roof, run up the tree, and jump towards the roof during the animation. If you succeed, you will get to an awning that you wouldn't normally reach.

Carefully walk to estus fragment located by the hanging body.

Move forward and jump lower to collect Homeward Bone. Walk around the roof and locate the entrance. Be careful as you don't want to fall into the throne chamber with a bonfire in Cleansing Chapel. Estus Fragment is next to the hanging body. .

Remember: Although the crow's nest is upstairs, you can trade from here as well.

Investigate the wall that is situated behind the feathers scattered around (screenshot). This wall is in front of the entrance. In fact, it's an illusion that will disappear once you hit it. Do it and head to the end where you will have to jump down. You will find Covetous Silver Serpent Ring on the right.

Visiting this place earlier will give you a chance to obtain Estus Fragment and a ring that will increase the number of souls that you receive for defeating enemies. This will be very useful, especially at the beginning of your journey.
