Dark Souls 3: Orbeck of Vinheim

Road of Sacrifices

You meet Orbeck for the first time in Road of Sacrifices. Go left in the Western ruins in the spot shown in the above screenshot (it is the bridge from which you get to the arena where you fight the Crystal Sage. Climb up and talk to the character there. Orbeck agrees to travel to Firelink Shrine, if you have, at least 10 Intelligence.

Firelink Shrine

When Orbeck travels to Firelink Shrine, you can find him opposite Cornyx (from blacksmith Andre jump off the bridge on the right). He can teach you spells now, if you bring appropriate scrolls to him. You can find a total of 4 of them in the following locations: 2 in Farron Keep, 1 in Profaned Capital and 1 in Grand Archives.

Yuria will want you to kill Orbeck. If you do this, give his ashes back to her to receive a weapon from her (Morion blade). You can also do this after Orbeck dies of "natural" causes, but only if you did not marry Anri earlier.

Orbeck will disappear after your kill four bosses, starting with the moment at which you recruited him, if you did not give him any scroll. It is enough to give him one scroll only to make him stay in Firelink Shrine.

After you buy any three spells from him, during the next conversation, Orbeck will give you Young Dragon Ring, if you started the game as a non-magic character. After you buy spells Sound Decoy, Pestilent Mercury, Quick Sword of Farron and Spy he also gives you Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and Silent Ally gesture.

After you bring him 4 scrolls and buy all of his spells, Orbeck will disappear from Firelink Shrine. You can summon him before the battle with Lothrick and Lorian in Grand Archives.

Grand Archives

After you defeat the brothers in Grand Archives, you can also find Orbeck's corpse here and collect his ashes. Go to the bridge, where you have defeated the likeness of the Crystal Sage and climb up around the other side (pass by the elevator), towards the roof exit. In the spot shown in the above screenshot, on the chair, there is Orbeck's corpse.
