Best Low-Spec Video Games 2021 - Video Games With Low System Requirements

We all love ray tracing and graphical bells and whistles, but sometimes, it's not really possible to launch ultra demanding video games on some laptops, or your aunt's low-end PC during holiday. So, here's a list of the best games with low requirements.

Table of Contents

Risk of Rain 2

What is Risk of Rain 2?

Risk of Rain 2 is the sequel to the well-received roguelike from Hopoo Games studio released in 2013. The original was created entirely using two-dimensional visuals, although in part two, the creators decided to move the action to 3D. Gameplay in Risk of Rain 2 combines several elements of popular genres: rougelike - we repeat procedurally generated locations until we defeat a given boss, RPG - we can choose from many character classes with unique skills, and during the game we collect items that give us new opportunities, and a dynamic platformer - battles are fast and packed with action. The game features scaling enemies, which makes the stronger enemies (and their larger numbers) we encounter only after a certain amount of time.

Who is Risk of Rain 2 for?

Risk of Rain 2 is for those looking for a dynamic roguelike. In the game developed by Hopoo Games, the emphasis is on action and combat, which directly translates to the gameplay experience. In addition, more than a hundred items (and their possible combinations) and heroes with different skills mean that every player will find a combat style that suits them and will not have time to get bored.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 / AMD FX-8350
  2. GPU: GTX 580 / AMD HD 7870
  3. RAM: 4 GB

Noita

What is Noita?

Noita is another pixel art roguelite on our list. In this game, we travel through the underground locations and overcome the encountered threats while taking care not to die by simple carelessness. Death - as in every title of this genre - means starting the game from the beginning. Yes, I know, it doesn't sound very interesting, but Noita features one distinctive element that makes it stand out – every pixel here has been physically simulated, which means that we can destroy everything that stands in our way, and the object physics is very advanced.

Who is Noita for?

Noita is the perfect roguelike for those who want to indulge in a full blown pixelated world. Players are given a powerful arsenal of magical weapons and spells that diversify the action-packed game. A procedurally generated world full of various environments and enemies is also supposed to provide the same, making each approach different from the last.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. CPU: Dual Core
  2. GPU: Graphics card with 512 MB VRAM
  3. RAM: 4 GB
