A representative of the roguelike species, in which we play the role of a magician wandering through the gloomy underworld. In comparison to other games, whose graphics were made in pixel art technique, Noita stands out due to its extensive possibilities of destroying the environment - each pixel here is a separately animated object subject to the laws of physics.
Noita is a roguelike game developed by independent developer Nolla Games, a team of three developers who have previously worked on games such as Crayon Physics Deluxe, The Swapper and Environmental Station Alpha.
In Noita, the plot plays a supporting role. During the gameplay, we play the role of a magician who travels through the gloomy dungeon and confronts the dangers lurking there.
In the course of the adventure, we observe the action from the side, exploring locations and eliminating enemies. The protagonist uses a wide range of elemental spells, which he expands as he progresses. The spells enable him not only to kill enemies but also to manipulate the game world, which often enables him to reach inaccessible places. By evoking a rainy cloud, we can fill a depression with water, carrying the hero upwards; by cooling hot lava, we make it solid, creating a passage to the other side of the hot lake; and by firing fire bullets into stalactites, we tear them away from the ceiling, dropping them directly on the heads of the opponents.
It is worth remembering that the devs decided to implement permadeath mechanics, so there is nothing else left for us after death, but to start the struggle from scratch. The matter is further complicated by the fact that individual locations are generated procedurally, which means that during each playthrough we face different challenges.
In comparison to other games, whose visuals were made in pixel art technique, Noita stands out because each pixel here is a separately animated object subject to the laws of physics, which entails the aforementioned possibilities of interaction with the environment.

Game Ratings for Noita Video Game.
KeenGamer: 7.5 / 10 by Gavin Hart
Noita, the new roguelite debut from Nolla Games, promises “every pixel is simulated”, and it delivers on an explosive physics sensation where gravity and the elements are your best friend and worst nightmare. This platformer action game has roguelite permadeath and a difficulty curve that unfortunately leads to repetition ad nauseum in some of its core gameplay loop.
GameGrin: 9.5 / 10 by Andrew Duncan
If the worst thing you can say about a rougelite is that it kills you, then Noita can't be that bad. I'm a big fan of this game and can't wait to play some more.
Cultured Vultures: 5 / 10 by Brian Stasiukaitis
Noita relies far too heavily on random numbers to create any kind of enjoyment, and though it might make some fun stories, players will be left craving an actual roguelike rather than this RNG simulator.
