The Best Sims 4 DLCs - The Expansions Worth Your Money

The Sims have something for everyone. Recently, The Sims 4 was available for free, so the question many of you are probably asking right now is which DLC to get? This article should help you find the best DLC for you.

Table of Contents

Realm of Magic

  1. Release date: September 10, 2019
  2. DLC type: add-on
  3. Key changes: the world of magic!
  4. New way to kill sims: magic overload
  5. Consider buying if you: want to become master of the material realm and eat for free

Remember when you first read Harry Potter? This was an encounter with a completely new world – every detail of it, every next page, every new adventure – it was all so exciting, euphoric and fascinating! Imagine the life of your sims without all that!

That was the case until the second half of 2019, when the Realm of Magic game pack was released. I don't know what is it about The Sims that justifies doing all the horrible things to the characters in that world, whereas it's a huge moral problem in other games. Here, you will get the means to make their lives miserable and mean, and, let me tell you, you will use it a lot.

Make a sim a wizard, and you'll want to develop their skills as quickly as possible, just to see what new spell you get and what next potion you can make. Initially, you may be reluctant to develop the magic of malice, but I promise you, once you start, you won't be able to stop. What's more, you can use the cauldron to brew potions as well as a huge portion of spaghetti, and there's even a spell that will get you instant dinner for free! Can you imagine anything more beautiful? How about a chastity spell?

There is another advantage to developing magic skills quickly – if you over-exercise or mess around, your sim will end up cursed and may die! But once you have created a new one or resurrected an old one with magic, you can take part in magic duels, fly on a broom, or make your cat or raccoon a Familiar. And if you don't have the pet expansion, you can settle for a dragon. A dragon!

Realm of Magic also brings some nice clothes (hint: collars with studs and the Adams Family) and a package of beautiful Art Nouveau furniture and building elements.

COMPACT INTERIORS

Is that not enough? One more recommendation, then. Tiny Living is a compact add-on with accessories. It doesn't seem to add much to the gameplay, but it will make you want to experiment with the size of the house and see how small little space is required to fulfill all our basic needs. In this addition, the smaller the house you build, the more bonusesyou will get, such as faster-growing your crops. Designing interiors will be even more exciting with appliances referencing the design of the 1960s. Say hello to vivid colours, rolling furniture, sideboards and dressers, beautiful lamps, furniture and Murphy beds. In other words, everything that is now coming back into style. There's even a pretty nice bed! And that's something very uncommon – Maxis have a particular problem with designing nice beds. So if you're longing for trendy furniture in your home interiors – this is an addition for you.

As regards the Murphy bed... it is the deadliest piece of furniture! You know what I mean.
