In an alternate (correct) reality, we have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for over two weeks, and The Last of Us 2 is just around the corner. Unfortunately, in our reality, after a handful of major premiers excited our appetites, we're back to lean months; to add insult to injury, a few big games were postponed due to the pandemic. Fortunately, smaller titles and remasters come to the rescue – there will be quite a few of these in May. Right now, more than ever, it's worth to notice the more obscure games.

What exactly is Before We Leave?
It's an economic strategy, the debut of Balancing Monkey Games studio. The title is notable for very colorful, eye-catching and vivid visuals. In the game, we control settlers who leave a bunker after a global calamity that decimated humanity, and try to rebuild our civilization, in time setting out to conquer new worlds.
Gameplay in Before the Leave
The game will take place on small planets, divided into hexes. Traditionally, for the genre, it will be our job to build increasingly sophisticated structures and grow our expanding empire. Over time, a single continent will no longer be able to accommodate our expansion – then, we'll set sail to discover new lands, and new resources. Eventually, we will reach a level of development that will enable us to repair the wrecked space ship and conquer other planets.
