Mirror's Edge

Adaptation: a grand action series set in futuristic dystopia.

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is a poor game, there's no doubt about it. Beautiful, but very empty. But let's remember that when the project was originally announced in 2009, the hype was great, and for a good reason. The potential was in the end wasted, but if we could forget the underwhelming reboot, we're still left with some great source material. Edgy, futuristic parkour couriers fighting the system seems a subject that could resonate with many people today.

Handmaid's Tale, or an adaptation of the novel by Margaret Atwood, proved that it is possible to create dystopia that's restrained and at the same time artistic. The third season got a poor reception, but, in my opinion, maintained the level of previous episodes (well, maybe Elizabeth Moss was a bit too menacing). The topic of restricting social freedoms, and universal surveillance is relevant as never before. I guess it would work.
