A Short Hike – An indie exploration game

If you’ve been hoping to visit Hawk Peak Provincial Park, the wait is finally over. After originally launching on Steam last summer, A Short Hike has arrived on the Nintendo Switch.

The game by developer Adamgryu lets you explore the park at your own pace. You might eventually reach the summit of the mountain, but there’s plenty to do along the way. Meet other hikers, go fishing, or catch an updraft and go soaring over the forest. Oh right, I forgot to mention you play as a bird.

A Short Hike has received “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam since its release, and that’s with well over three thousand reviews. This relaxing game of exploration is sure to find a good home on the Switch.

Which will you choose? The beaten path or the backcountry? A Short Hike is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
