Seven Best Factions in Fallout Universe

Post-apocalypse as a genre is synonymous to the Fallout series for many gamers. The legendary series brought with it a ton of memorable characters and outlandish factions, and in this text, we list the most interesting of the latter.

Table of Contents

The Wright Family

  1. Which game? Fallout 2
  2. Where can we find them? In New Reno

Fallout 2 was much larger than the prequel, and the action of both games is separated by a good couple of years. So while in the first part we saw ruins, poverty and decline, in the second game we encountered some more civilized settlements, showed that something was changing in the wasteland. For example, New Reno was the capital of gambling and corruption. It had casinos, drugs, and even an adult movie company (and they were hiring).

The kind of place just wouldn't do without a mafia, and rightly so, New Reno had a mafia. New Reno is ruled by several crime families, but one of them is unique - the Wright family. How is it different? With the fact that it's an actual family, not just ragtag bunch of of mercenaries and bruisers. It's also the weakest one among the families.

The Wrights live on the outskirts of New Reno, focus on manufacturing alcohol, and don't own a casino. But there are about 20 of them and their numbers are increasing. The characters in the game even joked that Orville Wright seems to be trying to repopulate the Earth with his offspring.

To be honest, I liked this family mainly because they sent us on the mission, thanks to which we found the Sierra Army Depot – a huge secret military base, offering nice few hours of exploration and some really useful gear.

TRIVIA

In and around New Reno in Fallout 2, we can acquire the iconic Tommy gun, i.e. Thompson submachine gun. This weapon is associated mainly with American gangsters from the Prohibition period and soldiers of the US Army during World War II.
