Dedicated to fans of a series of adventures about the famous Agent of Her Majesty, a production that allows you to sit behind the wheel of the most famous vehicles of James Bond and take part in a number of demanding missions. The title is the responsibility of Eutechnyx studio, specializing in racing games, authors such as Test Drive Le Mans and F1 World Grand Prix: 1999 Season.
One of Europe's diplomats, who owns several car factories at the same time, is planning to steal NATO weapons stocks and hand them over to terrorists. James Bond tries to stop him. Sitting at the helm equipped with various gadgets and weapons elements of cars designed by Q, he visits other places in different parts of the globe, trying to thwart the criminal's plans.
In the production prepared for the PS1 platform, players take control of the most famous cars from films about the adventures of Agent 007, including Lotus Esprit, BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB5. According to the film convention, each of them is equipped with weapons and gadgets, such as smokescreen curtains or Hellfire rockets, with which the owner of the console can eliminate obstacles and enemies he encounters. The creators have prepared a dozen or so boards in different sceneries, some of which have the formula of closed corridors on which one rushes from point A to point B, while others allow for a freer sightseeing of a given area in search of indicated goals.
In addition to the standard game mode, in which the player faces the next levels and learns about the story prepared by the scriptwriters, 007 Racing also allows you to play in the multiplayer module. As a two-player option, they can compete in a deathmatch against each other, fighting behind the wheel of vehicles known from the film universe. You can also choose the "Give a bomb" mode, in which you have to hand over the explosive charge to the opponent before the time runs out.
The creators of the game used images of a number of characters known from the film saga. Console owners encounter, among other things, a Q agent responsible for the equipment, whose voice is played by John Cleese playing it in the cinema hits, a powerful Jaw or a crafty Xenia Onatopp.
