A sequel to the turn-based science-fiction strategy game from Goldhawk Interactive, developed as a spiritual successor to the classic tactical game, UFO: Enemy Unknown. The story of Xenonauts 2 is not a direct continuation but an alternative retelling of the events from the previous game, telling of an alien invasion on Earth during the Cold War period. In general, the gameplay remains largely the same and is divided into two parts, namely, base management and combat missions.

The experience is accompanied by a commentary resembling narration in a documentary film. One's prime goal here is to maintain an appropriate balance between expanding the village and being able to survive in a hostile environment. Thus, apart from utilizing more and more space, constructing new buildings and upgrading the existing ones, the player has to give proper winter clothing to their subordinates and deliver them with balanced meals.

The action of the game was set in Antiquity, and the player directs the actions of one of the three available nations - Romans, Gauls or Egyptians, trying to wisely manage military resources and use the skills of individual units and the combat equipment acquired during the game.

In the game we play the role of the head of the rescue organization, who will have to face a number of accidents and catastrophes in the local city. In addition, we are faced with international tasks, unusual threats and the possibility of using specialist equipment. Graphic design has been improved and, most importantly, a new multiplayer mode has been introduced.

The player leads to a battle of the army - the units are presented in the form of collector's cards. Playing requires an understanding of the specific rules and the right choice of waist. The expansion is set in the years 58-51 BC and focuses on the titular figure's fight against Gallic tribes. Shortening the time period encompassed by the game resulted in a change to the turn system - instead of 12 months, one turn lasts here 2 weeks. Consequently, seasonal division returns, randomly affecting the course of the playthrough.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown

This new title was created by Firaxis Games, a studio founded by Sid Meier. The story of XCOM: Enemy Unknown does not follow any of the plotlines started by its predecessors. Instead, it tells a new story of the war between humans and an aggressive alien race.

The divided factions of the UEF, Cybran and Aeon have to face a new threat together - the alien Seraphim race. Developers from Gas Powered Games studio prepared over 100 new units, as well as a number of changes in the mechanics of the game.
