game release date for PC:
Praetorians: HD Remaster is a remastered version of the 2003 RTS. The production was developed by the Torus Games team in cooperation with the authors of the original, the Pyro Studios team.
Preateorians: HD Remaster takes us back to the Roman Empire, and makes us a target to become emperor. There are three nations in the game, the first of which are of course the disciplined Romans who use impressive war machines and sophisticated combat formations on the battlefield. The second is the Gauls, or fearless warriors with high mobility. The last place on the list is occupied by Egyptians with a great deal of scientific and technical knowledge, able to sacrifice everything in the name of Pharaoh.
In Praetorians: HD Remaster, the action is shown from a bird's eye view. At the heart of the game, warfare is hampered by the fact that we have a limited number of units on more than twenty missions, and the ability to recruit new ones is determined by the natural growth and the number of glory points we have at our disposal at any given time.
This forces us to skillfully manage our military resources and develop appropriate tactics taking into account the topography of the terrain (for example, archery is most effective when the archers are on the hill), individual skills of individual subordinates or finally the opportunities offered by various formations. It should be remembered that individual units are effective in battles with specific enemy forces. It is worth noting that apart from the aforementioned archers, the battles are attended by, among others, pikemen, pretenders and various war machines like rams or catapults.
While working on Praetorians: HD Remaster, the authors improved the graphics and adapted it to high resolutions. In addition, the user interface and control system have been improved.
Expectations: 8.0 / 10 calculated out of 5 players' votes.
