The gameplay consists of attacking and pillaging villages — you reach them by ship, and then fight intense battles with the locals. Every such raid uses up your limited resources. When you run out of them, you need to go back to your village, sell your loot and replenish the resources.

The game's protagonist is a boy, a survivor of a devastating explosion which destroyed his village and killed many people. There's also another survivor called Oktarus, who apparently is responsible for the disaster. The distraught boy pursues the stranger, hoping that he can learn the cause of the explosion.
