At first, Anomaly: Warzone Earth HD (later released on personal computers as Anomaly: Warzone Earth Mobile Campaign) was a mobile version of the debut game developed by 11bit studio, belonging to the genre of the so-called inverted tower defense. The story of the game takes place in the universe known from the original game, in the not too distant future. It picks up the plot started in the previous game. The game mechanics remain unchanged and combines elements of an action game with an RTS. The main task of the player is to safely break through the enemy territory. The player has access to a brand new story campaign encompassing 15 missions. The missions take place on brand new maps – changed to fit the new storyline and the unique traits of a mobile platform. The main difference in comparison to the original game is the absence of commanders on the battlefield – we now give orders to the squad directly.

Heroes & Castles 2 is a mixture of arcade and tower defense games, set in a classic fantasy land. Just like in the previous game, we play as a warrior who has to defend a keep besieged by an army of monsters. The controls are similar to those from a typical third-person action game. We can preform varied attacks, blocks, and use special abilities. Our hero is immortal, so when he is defeated by the enemy, he simply respawns at the castle. Beside crushing our enemies, we can gather gold and spend it on fixing or upgrading our castle (i.e. higher walls or towers). We can also train units that aid us in battle. In Heroes & Castles 2 battles are bigger, and we can not only defend our keep, but also invade enemy territories. Character progression, combat system, and visuals were also visibly improved.

A 3D action game by the famous Japanese developer Yuji Naki, the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog, one of the most popular video game characters in history. Released for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS, Rodea: The Sky Soldier takes place in the fantasy land of Garuda. A girl called Ion accidentally wakes up a mechanical warrior named Rodea, asleep since 1000 years before. The warrior comes back to life, but his memory is lost, and his right arm is damaged. Rodea can only remember that he participated in a fierce battle, when he met a girl resembling Ion. They join forces and fight against the empire of Naga, which is approaching the borders of their country. An important part of the gameplay it the ability to fly, which allows the protagonist to quickly move around the virtual world. Like other action games, Rodea: The Sky Soldier features battles of varying difficulty, out of which, of course, the most interesting are the boss battles.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is a rhythm game with RPG elements. It is the third game in the series. Two previous installments focused on the music and characters from the iconic Final Fantasy series. This time, Square Enix decided to connect the game with the lesser known Dragon Quest series. As we play, we will hear dozens of pieces of music used in the Dragon Quest games. Gameplay in Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is based on the same mechanics as the previous games. We will have to push the icons that appear on the screen in line with the rhythm of the music. Not only our reflexes matter, but also how long our stylus touches the console's touch screen. Some of the sounds require a quick tap, some touching the screen for a longer moment, and some will force us to move the stylus from one side to another. The game offers a couple of game modes, including multiplayer. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest has unique visuals that bring paper cutouts and flash animations to mind.

A tactical strategy game based on the Warhammer 40,000 franchise and inspired by such games as Clash of Clans. The Horus Heresy: Drop assault is a free-to-play game, which takes the player to the times of the titular Horus Heresy – a long military uprising, which resulted in the deaths of millions of people. Gameplay takes place on two layers – the first one comes down to gathering resources and expanding one’s base by erecting new structures, conducting research, and creating defensive structures. The second layer revolves around the military – the player has to train their army and send the troops to battle in order to conquer the neighboring territories as well as bases belonging to other players (it is also worth considering to form strategic alliances with some players) or the AI. Unlike Clash of Clans, in The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, the player can move his fighting units with fewer limitations. Both factions fighting the war – forces of the Emperor of Mankind and the rebels supporting Warmaster Horus – offer unique structures, technologies, and units, all of which makes for a diversified and interesting game.

A humorous 2D arcade game, blending three genres: platform, shooter, and logic puzzle. It was developed by Nitrome. The production features a wacky vision of the future, in which people use metal boxes to travel — such a box moves by rolling from side to side and would be useless were it not for a special powerful cannon. A properly used cannon is not just a great weapon to use against such foes as nosy policemen and mutants, but also a tool for pressing buttons and unlocking seemingly blocked passages. It can also be used to jump and glide through the air. In each of several dozens of levels your task is to get to the finish line in one piece. The gameplay also features easy puzzles, and interesting and amusing boss battles. Gunbrick features pleasant 2D visuals and a soundtrack composed by Erik Suhrke.

A sandbox action game set in an open medieval world. The title was developed by a team at Keen Software House and, as far as the general idea is concerned, it resembles the previous production from the studio: Space Engineers. The gameplay focuses on building, and the player’s task is to erect various defensive structures (including fortifications, castles, and even whole cities) and construct different machines capable of repelling enemy attacks. We may compete with other players or cooperate with them against the AI. In the game, no direct confrontation of units occurs; combat takes place only with the use of our buildings and machines. The production features an advanced physics engine and an accurate reconstruction of historical building techniques.
