A Little to the Left
A relaxing puzzle game aimed towards players fond of organizing space. A Little to the Left has us sorting items to keep them ordered - the actual order is up to us.
A Little to the Left is a puzzle game tasking us with organizing objects in various (mainly domestic) spaces. It was developed by Max Inferno, a Canadian indie studio founded by Annie Macmillan and Lukas Steinman. The game was inspired by daily activities, especially cleaning.
Mechanics
A Little to the Left tasks us with sorting and organizing items in a way that makes the best use of available space. The game features seventy-five puzzles and randomly generated daily challenges.
All the puzzles operate under similar rules. Players will get to sort objects, such as screws and nails in toolboxes, cardboard boxes or books on a bookshelf. The puzzles don't have a single pre-determined solution - it's up to us whether we'll sort the objects by their size, color or function. As long as we keep them ordered, we'll succeed.
Our main obstacle during the game is our cat, which is a rather mischievous prankster. Just like real life pets, this one tends to knock things over, snatch them or ruin our arrangements with its fluffy tail.
Technical aspects
A Little to the Left features light-hearted, colorful visuals fitting the game's low-stakes nature. The project intends to be relaxing and not challenge the player too much.
