A Space for the Unbound is an adventure game about relationships, depression and paranormal threads, and its action is set in an Indonesian village. The game was developed by the independent studio Mojiken and released by Toge Productions, known for games such as My Lovely Daughter and Necronator: Dead Wrong.
The action of the game is set in the late 1990s in Indonesia. When an enigmatic power is released, threatening not only people's lives but also the fate of the whole world, the two protagonists decide to take things into their own hands and prevent disaster. Atma and Raya, as the two protagonists are called, travels through an idyllic village in search of clues and necessary information, getting to know each other better, as well as the villagers themselves, ready to share their own stories. There were also paranormal themes, the fight against one's own fears, the theme of depression and ... cats.
A Space for the Unbound is a two-dimensional adventure game observed from a side perspective. From time to time there are challenges in the form of solving simple puzzles consisting in providing the desired item, however, the game is primarily aimed at exploration, learning the plot by interacting with encountered NPCs and watching climatic cutscenes.
A Space for the Unbound is a game maintained in the pixel art style typical of the 90s, but much more colourful and rich in details and animation. Masdito "Ittou" Bachtiar, who previously worked with the Mojiken studio on She and the Light Bearer, is responsible for the music.
