Plot
The story presented in Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One takes place at the very beginning of a detective's career. Due to the death of his mother, the 21-year-old hero arrives on his home island. It's where he gets a clue to a conspiracy that the people are getting involved in. With the help of his companion Jonathan, he's trying to solve a mystery.
Mechanics
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One offers similar mechanics to the previous four parts of the cycle. The player is taken to an open world, where he can move around freely. During the exploration, he can talk to the NPCs he meets and solve all kinds of puzzles. Often a trick is used to obtain the desired information (e.g. disguise yourself) or the deduction ability of the main character. However, solving the whole case requires a skilful combination of facts and evidence.
There was also a fun-filled sequence of action games - the hero is equipped with firearms that can be used at any time. Additionally, the game offers a non-linear storyline, which is influenced by the decisions made by the player during the adventure (including the use of violence).
Technical aspects
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One offers realistic, fully three-dimensional graphics.
