In 2014, a new strategic brand sprouted up on the industry map, namely Age of Civilizations, which in time was renamed Age of History. Four years after the release of the first item from under this banner, the Polish developer behind it, Lukasz Jakowski, prepared a continuation of this production, namely Age of History II (originally titled Age of Civilizations II). Although in time the series lived to see a third installment, after its release the creator decided to return to his earlier work and prepare an improved, expanded version. This is how the Age of History 2: Definitive Edition described here was created.

New features in the Definitive Edition

Against the background of the original, Age of History 2: Definitive Edition stands out due to a number of improvements. The author primarily leaned on the map and the interface. The former has received improved graphics with superimposed province names (of which there are 13?892 here) and new aesthetics of their borders. The menu, mean?while, has been simplified and made more responsive. In addition, the religion system (previously greatly expanded in Age of History 3) plays a greater role here.
