After developing the turn-based fantasy strategy title Age of Wonders 4, which was released in May 2023, the team behind it, Triumph Studios, embarked on its extensive development. Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin is the title of the ninth expansion for this production.

Nomads and Busyness

Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin introduces a new culture and people. The former are Nomads, who move around the world map, taking entire cities with them. Sucking powerful essences from the earth, they ravage the areas in which they appear. These include the Conquerors, who specialize in raids, and the Scrapers, who draw power from ancient wonders and spoils of war. The people introduced in this supplement, on the other hand, are the Hareholders, who managed to prepare in advance for the apocalypse, while their instincts, speed and will to live have allowed them not only to survive, but also to thrive despite the harsh conditions.
