After taking over under the wings of Bethesda, the Fallout series underwent a significant metamorphosis, mainly due to the abandonment of the isometric view and two-dimensional graphics in favor of a three-dimensional setting and FPP and TPP perspectives. Over the years, however, fans of its classic installments have received a number of titles clearly inspired by the works of Black Isle Studios. Among them can be found the RPG described here under the title Arkansas 2125, which was developed by an independent Polish developer using the pseudonym Marcin4001.
In Arkansas 2125 we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic version of the title state. The area at our disposal consists mainly of sun-scorched wastelands, on which single settlements grow. Each village has its own atmosphere and struggles with unique problems.
As we traverse the territory of Arkansas, we get to know its inhabitants and perform the tasks assigned by them. In addition, we make decisions that can determine the further fate of the protagonist and NPCs, as well as affect our relationships with the latter.
There is also no shortage of opportunities for combat. Clashes take place in turn-based mode, and firearms and white weapons are at our disposal. We can keep our enemies at a distance using both pistols and more powerful guns, while in close quarters the game allows us to use different fighting styles.
As we progress, we develop our character, improving his stats and skills, so we can face more and more challenges over time.
Arkansas 2125 takes us to a post-apocalyptic version of the title state. The main character is a lonely wanderer named Thomas, who, at the urging of his girlfriend, sets out on a journey to obtain the so-called Oasis Generator, a device that allegedly can change the fate of the world.
