Ayo: A Rain Tale tells the story of a young girl living near the largest desert in the world, Sahara. Each day, Ayo gathers water for her family. The game highlights the issues concerning many young women and children living in that part of the world, who spend much time gathering water. It is estimated that each day people all over the world spend over 200 million hours combined. The game features elements inspired by North-African myths, beliefs, and culture.
Ayo: A Rain Tale for PC, AND and iOS is a rather typical 2D platform game, utilizing a side-view perspective. You control your character and complete a range of levels by jumping on platforms, moving obstacles, solving puzzled, and facing dangerous foes and weather conditions. To survive, Ayo needs to be agile, clever, and brave.
The production features only a singleplayer mode.
Ayo: A Rain Tale features distinct, beautiful visuals. The game's unusual style may resemble illustrations in children's books. The characters and elements of the environment are smoothly animated, and the positive impression is only completed by the well-done lighting and day-night system.
