Fury Unleashed

Badass Hero is an action platformer with roguelike features. The title was developed by an independent Polish studio called Awesome Games. The title was released on PC, PS4 and XONE among other platforms.

Mechanics

The action in Badass Hero for PC, PS4 and XONE is presented from a side perspective. The gameplay focuses on exploration of randomly generated, comic-like world; combat with encountered enemies; obtaining new weapons and equipment pieces; and on developing the protagonist. Reflex and agility is the key to victory – the player can fire in all directions and must watch out not only for enemies, but for many traps and obstacles as well.

Luckily, the protagonist isn’t helpless – he has access to a wide variety of weapons, including shotguns, machine guns, rocket launchers and grenade launchers. With these weapons he eliminates hordes of regular enemies and bosses that are much harder to beat. By eliminating the adversaries, the protagonist gains ink, which serves as the currency – it can be traded for new skills and weapons. The player must be careful, as dying is permanent.
