Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics, released on AND, PC and iOS, is a strategy game with card elements. The production, developed by Gameloft, is available in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.

The title is from the same brand as Blitz Brigade shooter, but in terms of gameplay, it doesn't resemble it in any way. Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics is a battle strategy focused on real-time multiplayer battles.

The gameplay boils down to clashes between two players. Each of them has a general, located in special buildings located on opposite sides of the map. The death of the commander ends the game. By playing cards from the deck, players summon units to the battlefield that automatically move towards the enemy. In addition, the routes between the bases have watchtowers (two on each side), which slow down the enemy forces. The key element of the game is to choose the right units for the tasks and opponents. Cards activating various abilities and bonuses also play an important role.

Since summoning a character and activating special actions requires cards, Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics feels more like a card game. Players need to develop their deck, gain better and better cards and choose them according to their style of play and the capabilities of their opponents.

Technical aspects

Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics offers nice 3D graphics, made in a slightly cartoon style. The action is observed from isometric projection.
