Broke Protocol

Broke Protocol is an action multiplayer game enriched with numerous RPG elements. The game was developed by an independent team called Cylinder Studios.

Plot

In Broke Protocol players are taken to a modern city. Starting from scratch, they are gradually building up their position; it is up to them whether they become criminals or honest citizens.

Mechanics

In Broke Protocol the action is shown from the third-person perspective (TPP). The game offers an open city, where one will find a densely built-up and noisy center, quiet suburbs, as well as shops, a prison, a port, an airport and finally a military base. Players can enter many buildings and nothing stands in the way of purchasing selected properties (which of course is not a small expense). In the world of the game players can move on foot or inside one of the several available vehicles and machines, the list of which includes cars (passenger cars and trucks, as well as armored vans), motorcycles, boats, planes and tanks.

One's main goal is to collect as much money as possible, so players can take on a variety of activities while having fun. The source of income can be hard work (as a lifeguard, firefighter, driver or even a lawyer); however, nothing stands in the way of trying one's luck in the criminal underworld and trading in the black market, dealing with kidnappings, attacking banks and waging war with other gangs for influence over particular territories. Players can do all that using an extensive arsenal of weapons and gadgets, including pistols, machine guns, rifles, grenades, and stun guns.

At the same time, one must not forget to regularly satisfy the needs of the protagonist. Apart from hunger, these also include thirst and stamina, but also addictions that he may fall into.

Game modes

Broke Protocol is designed for multiplayer experience, in which more than a hundred players can simultaneously communicate with each other via voice chat. It should be noted, however, that apart from them, the streets are full of characters controlled by the in-game artificial intelligence.

Technical aspects

Broke Protocol has simple 3D visuals in a low poly style (its individual elements consist of a minimum number of polyhedrons). In terms of appearance, the production evokes associations with the best-selling Minecraft; nevertheless, this is a game intended for older audiences. In addition, the authors provide players with an extensive editor allowing them to modify the "sandbox" created by them.
