Capital Command PC

Capital Command is a spaceship simulator in which we take control of a powerful capital ship and our task is to deal with overwhelming enemy forces. The game was developed by Hellride Games studio and it requires us to carefully plan each maneuver and adapt tactics to enemy forces.

Plot

When a rebellious artificial intelligence emerges in a distant corner of space, our capital ship becomes the only unit able to investigate and eliminate the threat. Fighting for every sector, we will be forced to face the overwhelming forces of the battle fleet, over which control has been lost. Thanks to procedurally generated events, the game constantly tries to surprise us with new challenges.

Mechanics

In Capital Command, we take control of a state of the art spaceship, and our task is to efficiently command the crew and deal with enemies that outnumber us.

Space battles require excellent command skills from us, issuing orders and maneuvering the capital ship. The ship can move in any direction, which makes it easier for us to position ourselves for offensive actions. Available types of weapons, including projectile artillery and defense turrets, can be installed in various places. Poorly planned layout can result in, for example, blocking the line of fire or inability to shoot down the enemy's missiles. In many situations we can use the drive to dodge or make a surprise attack that will separate the rival unit from potential support.

During the game, we take care of various modules of the ship, refuel or take care of received damage, sending mechanics to make the repairs and setting the priority of actions. Scrap and salvaged resources are used to repair and improve the components of the capital ship. Winning battles opens the opportunity to take over enemy ships, and thus unlocking new possibilities or tactics.
