Carps & Dragons Description
Carps & Dragons is a customized version of the Nintendo portable console released in 2009 on Wii by Fish'em All! Compared to the original, the authors improved control and slowed down the whole gameplay, making it more accessible.
The heroes of the game are two fishermen equipped with huge nets, Walter and Jack, who travel around the world and visit various characteristic fishing grounds. It is the task of the players to direct the characters moving along the shore of the tank and to catch fish jumping out of the water. This unusual fishing is hindered by obstacles present at every level, such as giant water beasts trying to attack fishermen.
Authors from the Abylight studio have prepared three different game modes. The standard "Arcade" module allows you to test your skills in a practical infinite gameplay in which only the points scored for the fish caught count. The basic assumptions of the title modify the mode of challenges, in which the task is additionally hindered by the guidelines changing every board, as well as an interesting combination of fishing with Tetris "Fishtris". In this module, all the fish caught go to a small bar at the side of the screen and start to fill it. The aim of the players is to catch animals of the same color, to combine them into groups and not allow the bar to be filled to the maximum.
Carps & Dragons uses the console's 3D mode to create illusions of fish jumping out of the screen. The work of Abylight is characterized by a colorful, nice graphic design, as well as a relatively high level of difficulty.
