Mechanics

In Causa, Voices of the Dusk, our task is to defeat the rival whose cards are on the other side of the game table. We use our own deck for this purpose, which develops as we progress. We have four cards in our hands at any time, and in a single round we can usually play two of them.

It is worth noting that every action requires an appropriate level of indicator called Cause and we may not be able to use one. Several other concepts representing 4 Powers in in the world - Glory, Spirit, Influence and Wealth - are connected to this mysterious statistic. When forming the deck, we have to decide which of them we focus on.

Cause we gain by sacrificing our cards. Interestingly, we can then bring them back into play at a critical moment, which is an additional factor deepening the strategic layer. It is also important to choose the right Leaders - each of them has specific special abilities (the player chooses from different factions), which allow us to draw or play more cards.

Game modes

In Causa, Voices of the Dusk we can play both alone and with others. The game offers role-playing campaigns and an online PvP mode.

Technical aspects

Causa, Voices of the Dusk has quite a simple graphic design, which consists mainly of the interface and illustrations decorating individual cards - it is worth noting that some of them are partially animated. The game uses quite a serious style, which is a bit like the layout of a manual for a "paper" RPG system. While playing, we also see spectacular light effects on the screen, which accompany the use of specific cards and abilities.

The game was released in a free-to-play model and we will also find there a micropayments. The game also uses the cross-platform function - owners of different devices can play together.
