Battlefields! Combined Arms Land Operations in World War II™ is a 1km hex-based battalion-level simulation of World War II combat that puts the wargamer in the role of the operational commander. Battlefields!™! uses actual minutes and hours to track time and coordinate orders. Tell your combat and support units when to jump off and how to coordinate their plans.

Units exist within a military organization which Battlefields! understands. This allows cross-attachment of units and modeling of the strain on the staff of a particular command structure, depending on how much there is to manage and how many operations there are to plan and coordinate. Combat units are detailed with quality ratings, armor and infantry strengths, and movement types.

Artillery is beautifully handled in Battlefields!, as are Air and Naval units. Artillery can be assigned to barrage for a certain amount of time, support a specific battle, be “on call” or assigned to counterbattery fire against enemy artillery in range. Air and Naval units can similarly support battles or attack enemy assets directly. Interdiction fire by these combat arms is fully modeled.

Battlefields!™ Summary:

• Single Player, Multiplayer and PBEM Support

• Full Scenario, Unit and Map Editor

• Hex-Based, Battalion-Level

• Realistic Attack Coordination and Planning

• Fully-modeled Fog of War

• Naval, Air and Artillery Support

• Logistics Modeling Includes Fuel, Replacements, Fatigue

• Strikes a Balance: Detail and Transparency

• High Resolution Graphics, Full Score and Sound

Battlefields!™ Features:

• Battlefields!™ sticks with what wargamers know by using hexes and unit counters. However, it uses actual minutes and hours to track time and attack plans may be organized based on arrival times for combat units and their support.

• Replenishment of fuel, ammo and replacements is handled within the engine, as well as unit fatigue.

• The fog of war is fully modeled with various levels of intelligence for enemy movement and troop concentrations, including false or misleading reports (possibly even on your own units).

• Combat units are detailed with quality ratings, armor and infantry strengths, movement types and equipment. Artillery, Air and Naval units can support battles or attack enemy assets directly. Interdiction fire by these combat arms is fully modeled.

• Detailed command structure allows cross-attachment of units and modeling of the strain on the staff depending on how much there is to manage, plan and coordinate.

• Combat is modeled to include the effects of each of the units assigned, including the effects of artillery, airpower, long-range and short-range fire and the interactions between armor and infantry. Battlefields! avoids the simplicity of the straight CRT odds system while maintaining enough transparency to avoid mystifying players who want a system that is easy to understand.

• Using modern high resolution graphics, Battlefields!™ is easy on the eyes and has an interface that is designed to convey the most important information at a glance.

• Battlefields!™ includes a full score and sound effects to immerse the player.

• Battlefields!™ incorporates a full scenario, unit and map editor, which allows the creation of free compatible scenarios by wargamers who own the game.

• Battlefields!™ will support play against a computer opponent, against another human on the same machine or against one or more human opponents by single and multiplayer e-mail. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to have fun by offering many different ways to find an opponent and many different methods of play.
