Gameplay

In Commander Quest the action is viewed in an isometric view.

Commanders and world map

The game transports us to a fantasy world and allows us to embody one of the titular commanders. The protagonists, over whom we can take control, have been diversified in terms of races, skills, strengths and weaknesses.

During the game, we explore a procedurally generated world map, intersected by branching paths. We can visit locations, participate in various events, as well as take part in battles.

Turn-based combat and events

Fighting opponents plays a key role here. Battles are fought in turn-based mode, and during them we play cards that summon specific units to the battlefield and provide them with various enhancements. The game allows us to decide the position our subordinates will take after being summoned, while they automatically attack after the end of the turn.
