PC AND iOS

Dota Underlords is a free production which refers to the popular mod for Dota 2 - Auto Chess (this modification will also be converted into a separate title). So we are dealing with an eight-person online game very loosely inspired by the chess game. In Dota Underlords we will see characters known from the MOBA mentioned above. The development and release of this production is the responsibility of a well-known company Valve Software.

Mechanics

Clashes in Dota Underlords are played on square-shaped maps that resemble chessboards. Gameplay is divided into rounds - in each of them we choose the right heroes from the list. The player then decides which of them he wants to place on the battlefield. Each character has its cost in a virtual currency.

Warriors may belong to different specialties. What's more, heroes enter into different types of relationships with each other, resulting in powerful bonuses. The selection of heroes plays a key role in deciding on our strategy for the whole start. We must make decisions quickly, because in each round we have a limited time for this, and the characters are chosen from a common pool - the rival can beat us, making it impossible to use the preferred tactics.

The selection of units is all the more important because the fights are played automatically - we cannot actively control our heroes or even give them orders.

Game modes

At Dota Underlords, we can play alone or with others. In single player mode, the gameplay is focused on competing against the bot. What's important, the player can choose the right difficulty level (from easy to hardcore).

In a multiplayer game we have a choice between two options - we can play in cooperation with other players (the role of the opponent is played again by bots), or compete with up to seven other people in the classic multiplayer mode, in which our results are listed in a special table, allowing you to compare your achievements with the other participants in the game (as the game progresses, we gain more ranks).

It is worth noting that Dota Underlords supports the cross-play function - multi-player battles can be played with players on any of the platforms on which the game was released. Moreover, the progression system is common to all devices - the progress achieved on the smartphone, for example, will be transferred to the computer version (and vice versa).

Technical aspects

Dota Underlords has a decent three-dimensional graphic design, which is maintained in a characteristic comic book style. The latter are inspired by the game Dota 2, with which this production shares one universe.
