An isometric arena survival game, featuring RPG elements and a dark fantasy atmosphere. Conquest Dark is similar to Vampire Survivors, taking us to arenas and forcing us to fight hordes of enemies. They representic hostile cosmic forces and we can deal with them representing a character from one of several classes.

Conquest Dark is a dark fantasy-themed arena survival game. It combines mechanics taken from hack'n'slash, roguelike, and bullet hell shooter genres. The game was developed by the independent Finnish studio Eldritch Sword Games. We play as daredevils facing dark forces that have arrived from the so-called Black Planet and brought civilization to its knees.

Gameplay

In Conquest Dark we watch the action in an isometric view. We participate in battles called Dark Rituals, during which we face hordes of enemies.

Character classes

The game allows us to embody a character representing one of several available classes - we have at our disposal the Lion Barbarian, the divine Oath Guardian, or the mysterious Acolyte of Kuu. Individual professions differ in terms of preferred weapons, fighting style, and combat skills.

Combat and opponents

The battles themselves are dynamic, and due to the fact that enemies have an overwhelming numerical advantage over us, we must constantly be on the move and not let ourselves be cornered. In addition to normal enemies appearing in large quantities, more powerful adversaries also appear, led by bosses.

Character development

We acquire better weapons and armor when playing the game, which allows us to face increasingly bigger challenges. Death in the game means having to start a new journey, but we gradually unlock permanent upgrades. Thanks to permanent improvements we are becoming more effective in combat, incidentally adjusting the character to individual preferences and composing an effective "build".
