Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel

Gameplay

We start in Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel by choosing a hero or heroine, who are differentiated in terms of preferred weapons, available abilities, and fighting style. The game provides us with characters who engage in close combat, eliminate enemies from a distance, and use magic.

The gameplay is presented in an isometric view and involves fighting hordes of enemies in vast arenas. We can move around freely during combat. This last point is important because being constantly on the move is one of the keys to victory here. Our adversaries have an overwhelming numerical advantage over us, so in order to survive, we must make every effort not to let them corner us. It is also important to constantly attack and juggle available skills, as well as efficiently use elements of the environment.

The fun is diversified by occasional boss encounters. In addition to this, there are tasks waiting to be performed here, which involve achieving specific goals or dealing with additional obstacles. Death on the battlefield means having to start the crossing anew, but as we progress we develop the character and unlock divine blessings that provide us with various profits, abilities and upgrades. Thanks to them, subsequent attempts may turn out to be somewhat easier than previous ones.
