Criminal Expert

Criminal Expert is a detective-themed FMV adventure game. It was developed by Forever Entertainment, a Polish studio known for Front Mission 1st: Remake, Teddy Floppy Ear: Mountain Adventure and the Frederic series.

Plot

The game is set in modern Poland. The player takes on the role of a police investigator, needing to solve the case of a dazed, amnesiac woman. She was found wandering on a forest road, with no recollection of the past few days. The player has only seventy-two hours to discover the truth.

Mechanics

Criminal Expert is a typical detective adventure game. The player mostly deals with usual police work - gathering evidence, questioning witnesses and suspects, solving puzzles.

The witnesses aren't always truthful, forcing us to choose correct dialogue options in order to discover the truth. We'll also spend plenty of time delving into documents, reports and databases.

The game is quite non-linear. There are different path the player may take to solve the case, with the protagonist's actions and decisions determining the ending.

Game modes

The game is singleplayer only.

Technical aspects

The title combines simple yet pleasant 2D graphics with FMV sequences recorded with Polish actors.
