Dark Deity 2 is a sequel of the 2021 tactical jRPG, inspired by the Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics series. The authors of the original are behind the development of this game, namely the independent studio Sword & Axe.

Gameplay

Dark Deity 2 does not introduce revolutionary changes in the mechanics. They are based on the scheme developed for the needs of the first installment of the series.

Perspective and combat system

We watch the action from a bird's eye view, and the most important element here are turn-based skirmishes with opponents. Battles take place on arenas covered with a grid of invisible, square fields. We can move units, however selected attacks are presented on a separate screen showing the participants of the fight from the side.

Characters and classes

The game allows us to lead into battle a unit consisting of characters recruited as we progress. They represent classes differentiated in terms of active and passive skills, as well as strengths and weaknesses.
