Decapolice Description
DECAPOLICE is a detective RPG. It was developed by the Japanese studio Level-5, also responsible for Yo-kai Watch, Professor Layton and Ni no Kuni.
Plot
The player controls a rookie detective named Harvard, his job being to catch criminals terrorizing a large futuristic metropolis.
Mechanics
DECAPOLICE is an RPG featuring a large open world. The player must explore the city, talk to NPCs and complete quests. The game revolves around investigations and solving criminal mysteries.
The player must gather evidence, interview witnesses and suspects. Our goal is to find the culprit and arrest them. There are also, however, plenty of turn-based battles during which we control a party consisting of our detective and his co-workers.
During investigations we're aided by a virtual world known as DECASIM. It's a digital copy of the city, storing memories of all its past crimes. The information obtained from there often proves crucial to discovering the culprit of the currently investigated crime.
Game modes
The game only supports singleplayer.
Technical aspects
The three-dimensional visuals of DECAPOLICE are eye-pleasing and anime-styled.
