Deckstorm: Duel of Guardians is a mobile fantasy card game for Android and iOS. The game uses a free to play model with microtransactions and was developed by DeNA.

Story

Like most card games, the production offers a rather poor plot, which is mainly a pretext for the game. Here we have a magical fantasy land called Ravia, where peace was guaranteed by the Holy Spire. However, after it was shattered chaos quickly prevailed. Players take on the role of the former guardians of the Spire, whose task is to contain the situation.

Mechanics

Deckstorm: Duel of Guardians is a card game, so the fun focuses mainly on duels using cards representing characters, spells, and objects, among others. Traditionally, it's important to have a deck tailored to your gameplay style. At the same time, the game offers several fresh solutions that effectively distinguish it from the competition.

The game combines complex mechanics with a very fast pace of battles. Achieving these two things was made possible by abandoning the standard gameplay structure. Instead of making moves one by one, players play their cards at the same time. This significantly accelerates the matches (they usually last up to five minutes) and changes the character of the game, because it is no longer enough to react to the movements of the opponent. Instead, we need to learn to anticipate them.

Another advantage of Deckstorm: The Duel of Guardians is a highly developed progression system based on RPG titles. Each card can be developed - moreover, there are as many as seven ways to improve its combat potential, from spells to new levels to evolutions resulting from merging several cards into one stronger card.

Game modes

Deckstorm: The Duel of Guardians offers a single-player campaign, but it is mainly used to teach players the basic rules of gameplay. The real fun lies in multiplayer mode, in which we fight 1 on 1 PvP duels against other users.
