Platform action game, enriched with elements of the adventure in which we play the role of Zahra - agent of RIFT organization, which cares about inter-dimensional order. The protagonist crosses levels, fights enemies she encounters and solves riddles - all in order to discover the identity of the people behind the attack on her employers' headquarters.
Double Cross is an action platform game enriched with adventure elements developed by the team at 13AM Games - a studio whose portfolio includes the warmly received Runbow.
The main character of Double Cross is Zahra, an agent of RIFT (Regulators of Interdimensional Frontiers and Technology), who takes care of inter-dimensional order. When her employers' headquarters are attacked, the protagonist undertakes the task of capturing the mysterious perpetrators; in this way the girl gets involved in an intrigue, in which the fate of the multiverse is at stake.
The action in Double Cross is observed from the side. The game is divided into levels, which we visit in the order of our choice. In the course of the game, we are mainly engaged in exploration of various locations, during which Zahra makes use of the so-called Proton Slinger; i.e. a device emitting an energy beam - thanks to which the heroin can grab elements of the environment and throw them at the encountered enemies, as well as attract herself to selected objects and swing like on a rope. This is not the end of her abilities, because in the course of the game the woman gains a so-called Upgradium, which enables her to develop her abilities and improve her tools.
An important role in the game is also played by combat - attacks executed by the heroine can be chained into spectacular combinations, the range of which we broaden as we progress through the game. In addition, in the course of the adventure we solve puzzles that bring Zahra closer to solving the mystery behind the attack.
Two-dimensional visuals of Double Cross adopts the manga style. The game is accompanied by a dynamic, electronic soundtrack.
