Down To One for PC is a multiplayer First Person Shooter. The production is developed by an independent studio Gadget Games. The title stands out from other games as it introduces a survival aspect.
With empty hands, you arrive in the game’s open world. Every tool necessary to survive in this harsh environment needs to be found or crafted. However, before you can hold any true weapon, you will have to make do with replacements like planks or rocks. As you progress, the arsenal of your weapons becomes more and more diverse – starting with melee weapons, like knives and axes, and ending with pistols, shotguns, and rifles. The perk system enables the player to choose from a number of special abilities that will fit the adapted playing style. Thanks to that, you can knock the weapon out of the enemy’s hand with one precise shot or trick him by playing dead.
The key element in the title is the elimination of opponents – there can be up to 42 players on the same map. Depending on your preferences, you can customise the looks of your avatar, which makes the game stand out from the crowd. It is important to keep in mind that the local fauna can also pose a mortal threat – there are e.g. venomous snakes. Following Battle Royale rules, the last man standing wins the match.
In Down To One you can play through the Internet as well as through your local network. The rules in both cases stay the same.
Down To One released on PC features fine visuals, especially when the game’s price is considered.
