Jaws of Hakkon is the first story DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition, a third installment in the Dragon Age series by BioWare. The add-on introduces content meant solely for the single player mode, namely: previously unknown theme of the Inquisition history, uncharted land and new sets of weapons and armor. Jaws of Hakkon requires the original Dragon Age: Inquisition to be installed in order to work.
The player continues to play with the character he or she used in the original game. Jaws of Hakkon offers a new theme in the main campaign. The player is tasked with uncovering the fate of the last Inquisitor and a powerful dragon he hunted for. To do that, he or she must visit the southern region of the continent which is inhabited by Avars, and then gain the respect of those independent hunters.
During the adventure, the Inquisitor and the friends have to face members of a mysterious cult, and then fight an ancient god of war threatening the entire world. A set of unique weapons and armors will no doubt prove useful during the quest. Additionally, the discoveries and achievement of the player help the entire Inquisition.
The land the add-on is set in is characterized by a mountain landscape full of wild forests.
