Dragon Quest is a game belonging to the jRPG genre. It is a refreshed version of the title originally issued in 1986. During the adventure, the player takes on the role of a young hero with a mission to save the kingdom of Alefgard. Square Enix studio is responsible for the development and release of the production.

Plot

The story described in Dragon Quest takes place in the kingdom of Alefgard. Thanks to the Ball of Light, this land was protected from darkness. This situation changes when Dragonlord steals an object and the world goes dark.

The player takes on the role of a hero whose task is to defeat Dragonlord and restore balance in the kingdom.

Mechanics

The gameplay shown in Dragon Quest is extremely simple. The player takes control of the hero and explores the game world. The Alefgard is constructed in such a way that it is discovered gradually, as each area is inhabited by creatures with different levels of experience. Visiting some regions is therefore only possible if the protagonist is sufficiently developed.

Fights take place in turn-based mode and only in one-on-one array. The protagonist can only give four commands - fight, cast a spell, use an item and escape.

Technical aspects

Dragon Quest has not had any changes in terms of graphics compared to the original. However, the control system has been improved.
