A 2D logic puzzle platform game by XINESS Games. You lead a group of animals, which can only move in one direction: the parrot can move up, the raccoon can move left, and the goat can move right. When two of them meet, they merge into a new creature, who possesses the abilities of both of them. Dreamals consists of eighty levels, each of them set in one of four varied environments.
Dreamals Description
Dreamals is a combination of a two-dimensional platformer and a puzzle game in which we control animals that can only move in one of the few basic directions. The game was developed by an independent Korean studio called XINESS Games. They debuted in 2015 by releasing Ender of Fire - an arcade hack and slash set in the fantasy world.
Mechanics
Dreamals is based on a simple idea. In each level, we control a group of animals. However, they move only in one out of the three basic directions. The parrots are jumping upwards, the raccoons are moving to the left and the goats are moving to the right. Depending on the needs, we "activate" selected animals. When two of them meet, they combine into a new creature with the skills of both "parents". The goal is to reach the key that opens the portal to the next level. Our animals will face a full range of traditional platform traps, such as spikes, transmission belts, cannons, and portals. The authors have prepared a total of 80 levels set in four graphically diverse worlds.
Technical aspects
Dreamals, released on PS4, WiiU and PC, offers an indistinguishable audiovisuals. The 2D graphics are colorful and pleasing to the eye, but they do not impress with details or level of details. The same applies to the soundtrack.
